Originally from Germany, with a Romanian father, growing up and starting his career in the UK and having lived and worked in the commercial industry in Dubai. Christoph has a deep understanding and appreciation of different cultures and approaches to filmmaking. He is currently based in Tokyo, where he has been working for seven years, predominantly in commercials, documentaries, short independent films and music video productions. Christoph is fluent in English and German and intermediate level in Japanese. Being inspired by both his father and his grandfather also having successful careers as Cinematographer and Photographer respectively, Christoph has been influenced and interested in working behind the camera since a young age. 

The list of clients Christoph has worked with includes Japan Rail (JR), McLaren, Sony, Sony Music, Fujifilm, Adidas, Hitachi, Ferrari, Tabasco, New Era, Porsche, Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Asahi, Sapporo, Greenpeace, Shimano, National Basketball Association (NBA), Marriott Hotels.

With his prior experience as a director, editor and as well as working as a camera assistant on large budget BBC productions in his early career, Christoph currently enjoys his collaborations with international directors as well as local japanese directors. Due to his experience, he is able to maximize his creativity with thorough pre-production and thrive under pressure with tight schedules while regularly delivering content to happy clients.
